Release[]
During the run of season four, the first season of the show was released on DVD with it being split into three episodes with the final volume containing the last four episodes of the season. Volume one released on the 23rd of September, 2003 just three days after the episode Sins of the Son aired. The first four DVDs were released under the names of UnXpected Changes which contained episodes one-three, Xplosive Days which contained episode four-six, X Marks the Spot which contained episodes seven-nine and Xposing the truth which contained episodes ten-thirteen. A year later on the 10th of February, 2004, the second show was released although separately much like its predecessor though unlike the previous DVD, the names did not have the usual X in them and instead were called Mutants Rising which contained episodes one-four and Powers Revealed which had episodes five-eight, the next four episodes were not released until the 29th June that same year under the name of Enemies Unveiled and the last five episodes were not released until the 23rd November that year with the name of Mystique's Revenge.
On the 23rd May, 2006, the entire third season was released although it did not have its own unique name instead titled The Complete Third Season. Season four never had its full season release on DVD making it the only season of the show to not have a psychical copy although it can still be watched on The Complete Animated Series DVD which contained all 52 episodes.
