Katherine "Kitty" Anne Pryde is the only child and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Pryde, her powers activated after she found herself in the basement and that her bed had been phased into the ceiling. She is a member of the X-Men after being recruited by Charles Xavier due to her intangibility.

Must See Episodes[]

Personality[]

Katherine Pryde, known more commonly by her nickname "Kitty", is a young, cheerful, friendly mutant. Despite her sheltered life and upbringing before she joined the X-Men, Kitty also often proves very optimistic and willing to help anyone out. Originally more of a valley girl, Kitty grew into a more open-minded and intelligent girl proving herself and abilities time and time again. Despite her cheery demeanour, Kitty can become annoyed at the slightest situation that goes wrong such as encountering the Brotherhood and at first, Lance's constant attempts at trying to get closer to her but slowly grew to tolerate him as time went on.

Physical Appearance[]

Kitty is a slender, teenaged girl with a petite figure. She has medium-length, brown, hair often tied up in a ponytail with layers hanging over her face, one on each side, she also has fair skin and blue eyes.

Outfits[]

Her first outfit consists of a thin, light yellow shirt that she covers up with an equally thin pink cardigan that fastens at the top with one button revealing her shirt. She also wears blue jeans that does not fully go down to the bottom of her legs, the jean also has two thick, orange stripes at the bottom. She wears slight platform brown sandals and accessorises with a beaded necklace that has three beads around her neck and a fourth one hanging down. At school, she also had a small brown backpack.

Kitty's second outfit is a turquoise shirt that exposes her stomach, she also has light brown, almost khaki, cargos with a matching brown belt and light brown pumps, she also accessorises with a necklace that has a red pendant.

As of Mainstream, Kitty began wearing a red button-up, collared shirt that exposes her stomach and also wears black trousers with dark red sandals.

When on missions, Kitty's X-Men uniform bears slight resemblance to Jean's though she has a yellow collar and a dark, navy blue, bodysuit. On her suit, Kitty has a purple V-shapes stripe going down the front as well as the usual yellow utility belt that has the X logo as its buckle that goes around her waist. She also wears matching yellow gloves and purple combat boots.

During her time as a member of the Bayville Sirens, Kitty wore a short, collared, purple shirt that exposes her stomach area as well as her shoulders. She also wears tight, black trousers that showing off some of her leg, the trousers also include a bit of silver chain that wraps around one of her legs. For shoes, Kitty wears a pair of purple boots that have lighter accents. She also accessorises with dark purple fingerless gloves, two silver thin bracelets near her shoulders and a thin purple choker.

In the future, Kitty is slightly taller and remains a member of the X-Men but has shorter hair than her younger self. Her new outfits consists of a black suit with the top half exposing her stomach, she has two golden braces on both of her shoulders with the X logo on it, the top also has long sleeves and a collar that goes to her neck and has matching golden gauntlets at the bottom of her sleeves with no gloves. The lower half, is a pair of almost tight, black, trousers held up by a golden utility belt that sports the X symbol as its buckle located on her side, she also wears purple boots that are mostly covered.

Powers[]

Kitty's powers grant her the ability to phase through solid matter, often known as intangibility, she can phase other people or objects through anything solid so long as she has contact with them. Even with her training, Kitty still struggles to phase through much larger objects such as a train in an attempt to phase it through another to stop a crash but had to let go to let go once it became too much.
