Nerombo is a friend to Ororo Monro, before she became an X-Man and still lived in Africa. She was the goddess that brought water and was worshiped by him among their people.
Nerombo tried to warn her of her pending attack from the Hungans. He followed his people to the ship where the witch doctor was holding Ororo and was caught and severely questioned by Wolverine.
