History[]

Mr. and Mrs. Summers (presumably named Christopher Summers and Katherine Summers) were the parents of Scott and Alex Summers but were killed in a plane crash shortly after securing the only two parachutes safely to their young sons. During their final moments, the two watched as their sons descended to safety before crashing, the impact instantly killing them.

Nothing much is known about them except for the fact they both equally loved their sons as they made the choice to save their sons rather than their own lives.

  • In the comics, their names are Katherine Ann Summers and Christopher Summers.
  • Also in the comics, Christopher was known as Corsair and was leader of the space pirates team: The Starjammers.
  • In The Animated Series, Katherine's only appearance was in a flashback in the episode "Orphan's End"
  • In The Animated Series, Christopher first debuted in "The Phoenix Saga art IV: The Starjammers"
  • In the comics, both survived the plane crash and were captured by the Shi'ar empire where Katherine was forced into Emperor D'Ken's "harem" where she was killed by D'Ken in front of Christopher.
  • In the comics, they had another son named Gabriel who was removed from his mother's womb and placed in an incubator that aged him into his adolescent years where he was sent to Earth but was founded by Moira MacTaggert.
  • In issue #1 of the Tales from the Age of Apocalypse comic, Katherine died due to being constantly experimented on by the Shi'ar Empire, her final words to her husband was that she loved him.
