"My name is Jean Grey. I suppose I can stand up here and recite the fifth and fourteenth amendments or quote some passionate speeches from famous civil rights leaders. But to be honest, I don't want to. Since this is personal, let's keep it personal. Now, most of you have children. And you love them for who they are, not for what they can or can't do. There is a chance that one of them will have an advanced x-gene. And as they grow older, they will be considered mutants. You will love them anyway. But people will hate them. And people will want to hurt them. You will hope for the day when your child can live in a safe world. Well, that world must begin now with you, by allowing mutants to attend public school. Thank you."

Must See Episodes[]

Personality[]

Often regarded as "Miss Popular" of the X-Men, Jean is also a strong-willed, intelligent, confident, naturally gifted and a well-liked member of any group she finds herself in outside of Xavier's team. Despite being a mutant, Jean came from a background where she didn't feel like a social outcast but still struggled with her powers due to how uncontrollable they would often get prior to going to the Institute. At Bayville High, she was often considered a popular student as she dated Duncan Matthews, who was a jock, she was also not that much fond of Scott but grew to like him. As one of Xavier's students, Jean often mentored the younger generation of mutants which often included helping them get accustomed to living amongst other mutants as well as helping them with their powers.

Physical Appearance[]

Jean is a tall teenaged girl with a slender and athletic physique. Her hair is red and often is left freely that goes down her back though only tied up if the situation calls for it, she also has green eyes.

Outfits[]

Jean Grey's Outfits

One of her outfit consisted of a light lavender shirt with a small V-neck that exposed her navel, with this, she also wore tan cargos with pockets at the side as well as brown open-toed sandals, she would also have golden bracelets on both of her wrists.

A second outfit of hers, was a yellow long sleeved shirt that had orange accents that were situated at the end of the sleeves, at the bottom of the shirt and that crossed another orange line at the top which also exposed her navel area. Her jeans were a tight blue fit with a belt of a darker shade with silver high heels. Her accessories were one purple bangle that she wore on each wrist and a silver necklace.

Her third outfit was that of a short-sleeved, olive-green and yellow-striped shirt which also exposed her stomach. Her skirt was a an almost long, brown, pencil with a darker brown belt which she wore with yellow sandals that had bows on them. One gold bangle bracelets were also on each of her wrists.

For bedwear, Jean wears a light blue tight nightgown that goes to her mid-thigh area, the nightgown also consists of short sleeve with those, the end of the gown and the collar area are a pale yellow with two buttons with a small slit at the bottom.

Most notably in Survival of the Fittest, Jean's outdoor wear was that of a dark green tank top with light brown shorts and a green belt with a silver buckle. Her footwear consist of a pair of long also light brown boots with a bit of white fur at the top of them.

During her soccer games, Jean wears the traditional uniform for the girl's soccer team. Her shirt is a maroon, elbow-length top that has white sleeves, its collar is yellow with matching striped that go down the sleeves with a white "9" placed on her right side indicating her number. The rest of the uniform is a matching pair of shorts in the same shade as the shirt with an elastic hem in the same shade of yellow that also goes down the leg area with what appears to be a white undershirt. Her hair is usually tied up with a purple scrunchie to keep it out of her face when running around.

Her outfit for mission, is a dark navy blue body suit with a cowl that sits just above her face which is left visible, her hair and fingers are also visible as four of her fingers are uncovered with her index one being where her sleeve connects which covers part of her palm. There is also a green V-shapes triangle patch on both the front and back of her suit with the "X" symbol being located on her shoulders and has one gold bracelet on each wrist.

Powers and Abilities[]

Jean possesses advanced telepathic and telekinetic abilities often almost referred to as psionic. Her telekinesis allows her to manipulate any form of matter whether inanimate or living such as cars, chairs, items and people though she can still often struggle if the mass of the item she is trying to contain is too much for her. After experiencing her powers drastically surge, her abilities evolved to the point Jean could hold up two helicopters and bend sheet metal. Her abilities also allow her to levitate herself and fly for seemingly a limited amount of time.

Jean's telepathy grants her the ability to read and control minds as well as project her thoughts to other. She also has an advanced form of telepathy given that she was able to wipe the minds of one of the school's bullies after he had seen Kurt's real form after his image inducer malfunctioned. The distance of which she could connect to someone vastly greatened such as when she was able to maintain a telepathic rapport with Scott after he had been stranded.

She was also trained in hand-to-hand combat but instead relied on her powers more often when she found herself in a fight although chose not use her powers out in public prior to mutants being exposed.
