The Horses of Apocalypse are energy constructs created by Apocalypse himself to serve him.
They are later ridden by the Four Horsemen of Apocalypse to protect the pyramids and the Sphinx after the domes were removed.
After they brought the horsemen to their locations, they disappeared, and when Apocalypse was defeated, they were not seen again.
