Family[]

Mr. and Mrs. Summers (Parents)[]

(Deceased)[]

Scott's parents died when he was young, he was close to them and loved them, being close enough to them to the point he did not want to leave them during their final moments. [1]

Alex Summers (Younger brother)[]

Alex was born as the youngest between him and Scott and was on the plane the day he and his family experienced trouble, he was urged out of the plane to safety with his brother by their parents as it crashed, Alex was eventually placed in an orphanage and later adopted, Scott grew up believing he was the only survivor until learning Alex lived and reunited with him. [2] Alex later admitted he was changing his surname from Masters to Summers, Scott is close to his brother, often keeping him out of harms way when reuniting with him.

Allies[]

The X-Men[]

Charles Xavier (Professor, leader and father figure)[]

Scott respects Charles Xavier, seeing him as both his Professor and father figure often wanting to make his teacher proud. Despite his close relationship with Xavier, Scott sometimes disagrees with his professor though apologises for his actions, continuing to still believe in Xavier's ideology that mutants and humans can live together in peace.

Ororo Munroe (Teacher and teammate)[]

As one of Scott's teachers, Scott respects Ororo and trusted her to save him when he was surrounded by the military, he is also defensive of Ororo's nephew, Evan and has a healthy relationship with his teacher and teammate.

Logan Howlett (Teacher and teammate)[]

As another one of Scott's teachers, the latter respects him to the point the two will help each other in battle if need be. Scott also seeks advice from Logan on both being an X-Man and help with Jean Grey, Scott also has had conflicts with his teacher such as when while Scott believed in wanting to run for safety, Logan argued they should fight though the two eventually made up and went back to respecting each other, Logan also praises Scott for his efforts.

Jean Grey (Girlfriend and teammate)[]

Prior to dating Jean, Scott still remained close to the telepath as a teammate though would continuously clash with Duncan Matthews. After mutants were exposed to the world, he and Jean grew closer up until both Taryn Fujioka and Duncan broke off with their respective partners, Scott and Jean became further interested in each other and eventually began dating, once together, the two started doing many activities together such as being with each other on graduation, teaching a class and going on a cruise.

Kurt Wagner (Teammate)[]

Despite being scared of Kurt's original appearance on the day of meeting him, Scott grew to eventually liking him as a friend and stopped being scared, after Kurt attempted but failed to recruit Toad to the X-Men, Scott comforted him for his efforts, later on, he then promised to teach him to fly the Blackbird and would do so. On the night of the Sadie Hawkins Dance, Scott would advise Kurt to wear gloves so that his date, Amanda Sefton, would not feel the fur through his false appearance, the two have also had disagreements with Scott once thinking Kurt was not being too serious and Kurt believing Scott was too serious though the two apologised and made up.

Katherine "Kitty" Pryde (Teammate)[]

As he is older than Kitty, Scott acts as an older brother figure to her and often becomes defensive of her in both combat and situations that involve Lance Alvers, the two have a healthy relationship and act as a younger sister, older brother as well as teammates.

Evan Daniels (Teammate)[]

On the day the two met, Evan showed hostility towards Scott even after the latter was asked by Storm to recruit Evan to the team, the two eventually grew as allies and grew to be respectful of each other.

Rogue (Teammate)[]

After Rogue originally joined the Brotherhood of Mutants under the impression the X-Men hated her, Scott attempted multiple times to help her see that the Brotherhood were not as helpful as she thought them to be. During a training session hosted by Charles Xavier, Rogue was chosen to be the enemy which Scott thought would only drive her away, Rogue eventually took the offer to join the X-Men and Scott continued to remain a close ally to her, Scott would also help Rogue on the day she lost control off her powers.

New Mutants (Students and allies)[]

After Charles Xavier took a new group of mutant kids in, Scott acted as both an older sibling figure and teacher, he is often protective of them and wishes to keep them safe and out of harms way.

Enemies[]

The Brotherhood of Mutants (Future allies)[]

Scott's worst enemies were the Brotherhood of Mutants, a group of mutants recruited by the likes of Mystique and Magneto, Scott became close rivals with Lance Alvers, he and the group, alongside the X-Men, would often clash both in school and in battle. Scott, the X-Men and Brotherhood eventually put aside their rivalry once Apocalypse endangered the Earth.

The Acolytes[]

After Erik abandoned both Mystique and the Brotherhood, he formed another group known as The Acolytes which Scott faced off against with his team during Apocolypse's invasion.

Erik Lehnsherr (Future ally)[]

Scott learned of Erik, the mutant known as Magneto, after discovering his brother, Alex Summers, had survived with his first encounter resulting in joining him though Xavier eventually convinced Scott to return to his original team, Scott would continue to fight against Erik's plans when the latter did not wish for a peaceful coexistence.

Mystique (Fake principal)[]

During his time in high school, Scott had respect for Mystique, unaware that Principal Darkhölme was Mystique. After being told the two were the same person, Scott's respect diminished and he saw Mystique as an enemy, he further resented her when she tricked him into going to Mexico without his visor after he had kept her trapped in Area 51.

Other[]

Duncan Matthews (Rival and enemy)[]

Prior to mutants being public knowledge, Scott and Duncan had a small rivalry with each other. After mutants were outed, Duncan resented the mutants though went as far as to have Jean use her powers for his gain, an action which caused Jean to break up with him and go with Scott.

Taryn Fujioka (Ex-girlfriend)[]

Scott originally dated Taryn and the two had a healthy and respectful relationship up until mutants were outed, Taryn began showing hate for the mutants and broke up with Scott after finding out he was one.
