Growing Pains[]
He sat next to Kitty during the school assembly in an attempt to talk to her. Despite not audibly saying anything, he seemed surprised when Lance tried to speak to Kitty. He then appeared shaken up when the ground began to shake unaware that it was Lance using his powers and watched as the scoreboard above Kelly almost fell on him but was also unaware that the reason why it moved out of the way was due to Jean using her telekinesis. He alongside his other classmates then laughed at the joke their new principal made.

Arcade attended the Bayville funfair as he walked past Scott and Taryn moments before Kurt found them
Fun and Games[]
Arcade appeared in Kitty and Risty's computer class where he was playing a game but was caught by his teacher even after Risty told him to log off. That night at the Institute, both he and Risty went to the party held by the X-Men, minus Scott and Jean, where Risty lead him to the lower levels as a way to gain access to Cerebro. Once left alone, Webber only opted to go through more of its files coming across ones for the Blackbird and the Danger Room, once Evan, Rogue, Kitty and Kurt were inside the room, he continued to fire the lasers under the pretence it was all a game and that he wasn't really putting lives in danger as he then took out Kurt first and then Kitty soon after. Once the four descended below, the Institute's defence system then activated Defcon 4, a system that caused the Institute to go on full lockdown, the name being something Arcade seemed interested in despite being unaware of the danger he was putting both himself and others in.
Continuing to mess around with Cerebro and its mechanisms in general, Arcade watched as a screen of the four X-Men appeared where he saw them running through as he continued to target them in what he called "Arcade's corridor of doom". Once Jean and Scott united with their other four teammates, they discovered Webber who was still playing around where upon being discovered, he used another system to shock the team yet claimed they were good and skilled players, a sentiment that Rogue responded to as she appeared behind him and absorbed his powers causing him to black out.
Once awake, Arcade was questioned by Rogue, Scott and Jean where he further claimed that the game was cool and that the players had powers causing Rogue to be shocked thinking that Webber had discovered that they were mutants but was stopped by Xavier who assured his students that Arcade just believed the entire scenario was a game. Arcade then returned home after being picked up by a taxi.
